[phylocom-user] Question

Important to keep in mind the distinction between phylomatic and phylocom.

Phylomatic will build a supertree using ANY backbone tree. The program supplies the angiosperm backbone, but users can supply any alternative they like.

phylocom is for comparative analysis of trait and ecological data given a phylogeny. It can be used with any appropriate data sets and any organisms!

But of course the APG backbone is as the name says for angiosperms, so is also the dating backbone file of wikström.
